Billing Information:
The following information covers our basic guidelines for garbage service in San Benito County. General Garbage Service Information:
- All garbage and recycling containers need to be placed at the curb or roadside the night before your service day or by 6 a.m. on your service day. Keep in mind that service times may vary.
- Norcal Waste Systems provides the garbage container (cart with wheels) for your use. There are four choices of cart sizes: 20 gallons 32 gallons, 64 gallons, or 96 gallons. If you are not happy with the size cart you initially choose, you may change your level of service for a fee.
- If you occasionally need to dispose of extra garbage, call our office one day in advance. There is a fee per 32-gallon bag or 32-gallon can.
- The only holidays where service is disrupted are Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Look for detailed information on your December garbage bill.
The following items are NOT accepted for pickup:
- Rock, concrete, brick, sheet rock, stucco, construction debris, etc.
- Large or bulky items, such as couches, mattresses and washing machines. Visit our Bulky Item Collection page to find out how to properly dispose of these items.
- Hazardous waste, such as oil drums, fiberboard barrels, dead animals, propane tanks and paint. Visit our Household Hazardous Waste page to find out how to properly dispose of these items.
- Electronic, such as televisions and computer monitors. Visit our Electronic/Universal Waste page to find out how to properly dispose of these items.
Billing Information:
- Services are billed quarterly. Payment in full is due by the end of the billing period.
- If you choose to mail a payment in monthly, please include your account number on your check.
- The past due date for your statement will be shown on the bottom of the statement.
