Recycling is more important today than it has ever been before. In order to keep our communities safe and clean, we all must pitch in to help recycle and reuse as much as possible.

We provide a convenient curbside recycling collection program for both recyclables and yard waste. This service is available to all residential customers and is collected on the same day as your normal garbage collection

Materials ACCEPTED in recycling program:


Cardboard Boxes:
  • Break down, and cut if necessary into small pieces so it does not get wedged in the cart.

Containers:
recycle number
  • Aluminum, steel and tin cans
  • Glass bottles & jars
  • Plastic containers with a recycling symbol marked with a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7. Look for the symbol on the bottom, or close to the bottom of the container.

Mixed Paper:
  • Catalogs
  • Cereal, cracker and frozen food boxes
    (with liners removed)
  • Computer, copy and fax paper
  • Envelopes
  • File folders
  • Junk mail
  • Catalogs
  • Magazines
  • Newspaper
  • Paper egg cartons
  • Phone books

Used Motor Oil & Filters
To recycle these items, you must request a one-gallon plastic container with a screw top lid and an oil filter bag. You may also recycle one gallon of oil and one oil filter each week. To place your order, call (831) 636-7500 or use our online contact form.

Materials NOT ACCEPTED in recycling program:
  • Auto, mirror and tinted glass
  • Glassware, crystal and dinnerware
  • Hazardous materials
  • Light bulbs and fluorescent tubes
  • Paper towels, napkins and facial tissues
  • Paint cans
  • Trash
  • Shrink wrap and plastic bags
  • Styrofoam blocks and packing peanuts
  • Toys
  • Plastic utensils
  • Plastic containers without a recycling symbol
  • Food soiled paper, such as a pizza boxes and paper plates
